About the Role

The Middle Grades ELA Teacher at VHCS will lead students in exploring the power of language, literature, and communication through immersive, technology-driven instruction. This role involves teaching reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and speaking skills while fostering a love of literacy in a virtual learning environment. The teacher will design lessons that align with Utah Core Standards, utilizing VR tools to create engaging and interactive experiences that develop critical thinking and analytical skills. They will assess and monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.

  • Valid Utah Educator License with a Secondary Education endorsement in English.

  • Experience teaching middle school students preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of adolescent literature and composition instruction.
