About the Role
The Instructional Assistant/Paraprofessional at VHCS will provide essential support to teachers and students, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, guiding students through lessons, and providing individualized support to those who need additional help. The paraprofessional will help manage virtual classrooms, facilitate interactive learning activities, and maintain student engagement. They will also assist in monitoring student progress, communicating with teachers about student needs, and ensuring a positive and productive educational environment.
Requirements
Education: Associate degree or at least 48 college credit hours; alternatively, a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
Experience: Experience working with children or in an educational setting is advantageous.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; patience and adaptability to support diverse student needs; proficiency with educational technology tools.
