About the Role
The Art Teacher at VHCS will inspire creativity and self-expression through a curriculum that incorporates both traditional and digital artistic techniques. This educator will develop and teach engaging lessons that encourage students to explore various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. With the use of VR and AR technology, students will have the opportunity to engage in interactive art experiences, such as virtual museum visits and 3D digital sculpting. The teacher will guide students in developing their artistic skills while fostering an appreciation for art history, cultural influences, and personal creativity.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Licensure: Valid Utah Educator License with an Art endorsement.
Experience: Experience teaching art in a school setting is preferred.
Skills: Proficiency in various art mediums and techniques; ability to integrate virtual reality tools into art instruction; strong organizational and communication skills.
